Delores Dillingham
Delores was born on April 15, 1919 to Henry and Alvina (Schmoker) Leiss and lived her entire life in Fort Dodge. On February 9, 1940 she was united in marriage to Robert W. Dillingham in Fort Dodge. Delores was a hard worker and devoted 24 years as a Health Aid for Webster County. Delores was known as “Grandma Dilli” and always had fresh, warm cinnamon rolls ready to be eaten. Her family and faith were the core of her life. She enjoyed sewing, traveling with her family to CO, MN, WI, and OK. Delores always had a sweet disposition. Delores memories will be cherished by her children, Robert (Carol) Dillingham of Ankeny, Richard (Patty) Dillingham of Lincoln, NE, Roger Dillingham and friend Lenore of Duncombe, Randy (Patty) Dillingham of Garwin, IA, Shirley (Steve) Duncan of Visalia, CA, Sandy Swenson of Farwell, MN, Sally (Dave) Messerly, Vincent, IA, Sara Padfield of San Josi, CA, Susan (Jerry) Summers of Lehigh, IA and Sharon (Dennis) Miller of Vincent, IA; 23 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren. Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; 1 grandson, Jason; 1 granddaughter, Brandy; 1 great-great granddaughter, Taabatha; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Aldo and Wilber; 2 sisters, Verla and Colleen. |
