Evelyn R. Lauden, 96, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Tompkins Memorial Heath Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Matthew Martens officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Evelyn Conner, daughter of Ezra and Anna Conner, was born October 29, 1909 in Mystic, Iowa.  In 1925 she married Peter J. Anderson in Waterloo; they were the parents of five daughters.  She later married Alvin Lauden in 1942.  Both of Evelyn’s husbands have preceded her in death.

Those thankful for having shared in Evelyn’s life include four daughters; Geraldine Sandven of Badger, Joan (Ron) Messerly of Fort Dodge, Donna (Delbert) Arbuckle of Waterloo and Barbara (Harold) Brunkhorst of Colfax, California.  She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 25 great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, daughter Patricia Schutte; son-in-law Marvin Sandven, Jr.; brother Artie and Sisters Mae, Lyda and Alita;  and grandson James R. Lennon.
