Funeral Services for Terry Parker 71 of Fort Dodge will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge with Rev. Austin and Rev. Sara Hill officiating. Visitation will be Friday 5pm to 7pm at the Bruce Funeral Home and continue on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Church. Burial will be in St. Olaf Cemetery. Terry Dean Parker died at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.


Terry Dean Parker was born September 6, 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Darroll and Ethel (Kreiman) Parker. He grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. Terry was united in marriage to Linda Hulett on April 13, 1968 at the Riverside Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. He was employed by the City of Fort Dodge. In 1981 the waste water division was taken over by Veloia Water, Terry continued to work for Veloia and then retired as Project Manager in 2010. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Harmony Brigade, the Shades of Gray Barbershop Quartet, the Sonshine Singers, the Glee Club and the Church Choir. In addition to his love of music, Terry was an active noon Lion club member, serving in many positions over 20 plus years including President twice. His hobbies include riding his Harley Davidson Triglide motorcycle, wood working and bow hunting.


Terry is survived by his wife Linda, his children Tammy (Michael) Becker and Darroll (Shelley) Parker all of Fort Dodge, 9 grandchildren; Amanda Becker, Megan Becker, Austin Becker, Anastasia Parker, Shelby Parker, Logan Parker, Kate Parker, Allisyn Parker and Lauryn Parker, two great grandchildren, Aryana Parker and Kail Mcmullen. Terry is also survived by his siblings; Norma Bygness, Bonny Mewhorter and her husband Roger Davis, and Louise Jobe and her significant other Dennis Wood.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Darroll and Ethel Parker, his father and mother-in-law Eugene & Genevieve Hulett, brother and sister-in-law John & Beverly Parker, grandson Tristan Parker, and great grandson Colson Mcmullen.
