Anthony “Tony” D. Van Every, 53, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his sister’s home. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Anthony was born April 29, 1972, in Fort Dodge, the son of Margo M. (Cote) and David A. Van Every Sr. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High. On March 20, 2004, he was united in marriage to Carla Blevins in Branson, MO. Tony enjoyed racing, camping, making food fun and tinkering with mowers & cars. He also enjoyed having a cold one with friends, goofing off and pulling pranks. Tony also had an artistic side to him.
Tony is survived by his wife of years: Carla Van Every of Fort Dodge; his mother: Margo Schultz-Hurley of Hollister, MO; 5 children: Jeremiah Reed of Otho, IA, Alex Sheldon of Albert Lea, MN, Briellye Coppinger of Pocahontas, IA, Aidyn Coppinger of Pocahontas, and Justin Reis and wife Kat of Bondurant, IA; his grandchildren; and 11 siblings: Stacie Coppinger and husband Robert Hogan of Fort Dodge, Dawn Riley and husband Don of Badger, IA, Patrick Van Every of Callender, IA, Bobby Van Every of Fort Dodge, Jason Lumsden and wife Christi of Fort Dodge, Rosa Kennebeck and husband Donovan of Lytton, IA, Patricia Brasher and husband Scott of Forsyth, MO, Casey McGowan and husband Sonny of Forsyth, David Van Every Jr. of Rockaway Beach, MO, Josh Van Every and wife Amanda of Rockaway Beach, and Tara Van Every and husband Jonathan of Forsyth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: David Van Every Sr.; and sister: Melissa McCollar.
