Berniece L. Milliken 95 of Coalville passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Services will be Friday March 1, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Interment will be in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge and one hour prior to services on Friday.

Berniece was born April 23, 1917 at Fraser, Iowa to Thomas and Elizabeth (Quillen) Paris. She attended schools in Pilot Mound and Otho. Berniece was united in marriage to Floyd Milliken on September 15, 1933 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The family lived in Clayworks and Otho before moving to Coalville in 1943. Berniece enjoyed embroidery, fabric painting, reading and cooking for family gatherings. She was a member of the Coalville Miners Senior's Club for many years. Most important to Berniece was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters; Lynn (Jerry) Pedersen of Fort Dodge and Betsy (John) Steburg of Pahrump, Nevada,son-in-law, Robert Strain of Coalville, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Tom Paris of Revenna, Nebraska.

Berniece was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Carol Strain.
