Marquette – Carl A. Bockoven, age 72, most recently of 425 Fisher St. Marquette, Michigan formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette, MI where he had resided for the past 13 months. Carl was born Nov. 2, 1941 in Fort Dodge, IA to Jerome and Eileen (Wood) Bockhoven. He entered the United States Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, Carl went on to work many jobs including being a Police Officer, Truck Driver, and a Restaurant Manager which he truly enjoyed. Carl enjoyed fishing, reading western novels, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons Kevin Bockoven of Silver City, NM and Matt Bockoven of LAnse, two daughters – Tammy and Kimberly, 2 grandsons – Matt and Kevin, 3 granddaughters – Carrie (Joseph) Paquette, Jennifer (Ryan) Tammelin and Terri Curtis all of LAnse, 6 great grandchildren – Kayla, Aiden, Joseph Jr., and Julianna Paquette and Ryan Jr. and Zander Tammelin. Per Carls wishes, cremation has taken place and his inurnment will take place this spring in West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh, Iowa
