Carolyn S. Tacker, 81, of Hastings, MN, and formerly of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Private family services will be held. Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Carolyn was born July 24, 1943, in Chariton, IA, the daughter of Maxine (Johnson) and Leon Chronister. She attended school in Chariton. On September 12, 1959, she was united in marriage to David L. Tacker in Chariton. Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her exceptional talent in crafting and design. She dedicated countless hours to her hobbies, which included making exquisite porcelain dolls, engaging in various crafts, and creating beautiful floral arrangements that adorned her home and garden. Her flair for yard decor and amazing home interior designs fostered welcoming environments that reflected her artistic spirit and love for beauty.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 65 years: David Tacker of Hastings; 3 children: Shelley Lane and husband Trent of Hastings, Diana Wood of Fort Dodge, and Janet Pommer and husband Kendal of Otho, IA; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a brother: Kenny Chronister and wife Karen of Chariton. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Phil Tacker; and son-in-law: Kenneth Wood.
