Chris Joseph Tate, 65, died peacefully at his home on July 12, 2025, after a battle with bone cancer. A celebration of life will be held on August 2, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at the shelter house in Joe Sheldon Park at 2250 Sheldon Ave. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. Chris Joseph Tate, son of William (Bill) Tate and MaryLou Hoeppner Tate was born in Webster City, Iowa on August 5, 1959. He graduated in May of 1978 from Eagle Grove High school where he was very active in golf and baseball. He was united in marriage to Sue Cameron on September 17, 1988. Chris worked 24 years at Humboldt Sausage, the last few years as supervisor. He then worked for Webster City Products for 2 years and then at Chantlands (PPI) until his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and making wood projects for his family.

Surviving are his wife Sue, two children Lee (Katie) Cameron of Livermore and Amy (Travis) Tinken of Parkersburg, his mother MaryLou Tate of Agency, a sister Cheri (Terry) Lyons of Agency and his twin brother Kreg of Agency. There are 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father William Tate and a brother Brian Tate.
