Christopher "Chris" B. Renfroe

Christopher “Chris” B. Renfroe, 72, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, October 29, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. No services will be scheduled. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

Chris was born June 27, 1954, in St Joseph, Michigan, the son of Cecil and Savannah (Knight) Renfroe. He graduated from Caruthersville High School in Missouri in 1973. On January 13, 1996, he was united in marriage to Carla L. (Jones) at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. In his younger years, Chris enjoyed snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, and playing his guitar. He later enjoyed going for drives and sitting outside in the sunlight. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to their weekly family night suppers.

Chris is survived by his wife of 43 years: Carla Renfroe of Fort Dodge; daughter: Crystal Frank of Fort Dodge; 2 grandchildren: Briley Frank (AKA: Sweetie) of Fort Dodge and Parker Frank (AKA: Dude) of Fort Dodge; and a sister: Cheryl Renfroe Becnel and husband Mark of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 siblings: Glenda Ruth and Phillip Renfroe.
