Cleo P Mericle

Graveside services for Cleo P. Mericle 83 of Fort Dodge will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery.  He died Thursday at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

Cleo Phillip Mericle was born March 21, 1935 in Evanston, Iowa to Phillip and Elvina (Hoover) Mericle. He loved spending time on the farm in Evanston as he was growing up. He was united in marriage to Nancy Hill and to this union four boys were born; Rick, Mark, Greg and Wayne. The couple later divorced. Cleo was then united in marriage to Jeanette Burg. Cleo worked for Hormel his entire career. His hobbies included camping, fishing and being a private pilot for many years. He also loved the game of golf. He was a member of Willow Creek Golf Club for many years.

Cleo is survived by his sons: Rick (Jeanne) Mericle of Westminster, Colorado, Mark (Jackie) Mericle of Lewistown, Montana, Greg (Candi) Mericle of Medical Lake, Washington, and Wayne Mericle of Thorton, Colorado, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and his siblings; Marvin, Clyde and Dick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Jeanette.
