Daniel Lawler

Daniel Lawler 67 of Fort Dodge, Iowa died Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge after a battle with cancer and diabetes. As per his wishes, he was cremated and private services will be held at a later date.

 

Daniel J. Lawler was born July 7, 1948 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to James and Dolores (Donahoe) Lawler. He attended St. Mathew's grade school in Clare and graduated from St. Edmond High School in Fort Dodge. Daniel served in the United States Air Force National Guard. He then attended Iowa State University. Daniel worked in manufacturing in Omaha, NE and then began as a trouble shooter and repair technician at Sears. A few years later, Dan started his own business, Lawler Electronics, which he operated out of his home. Dan enjoyed working with his hands, trying to fix and repair anything and everything. He especially enjoyed any type of electrical repair which he deemed challenging.

 

Dan was preceded in death by his parents James and Dolores Lawler and his sister Anna Marie.

He is survived by two brothers, Joe (Elaine) Lawler of Fort Dodge and Denny (Leann) Lawler of Clare. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Angela Smeins, Diane Pohlmeier, James Lawler, John Lawler, Kate Margel, Colleen Bucca, Matthew Welsh, Chris Dillon, Eric Dillon, Shawn Lawler and Kristin Lawler.
