Debra Lane

Debra Sue Lane, 44, of Fort Dodge died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 at Bruce’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Captain Mark Nance. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Debra was born on October 6, 1959, the daughter of Keith and Karen (Nekvinda) Stanberg in Fort Dodge. Debra was united in marriage to Rick Mortensen and to this union a daughter Lindsey was born. On July 2, 1986 Debra found her soul mate, Rodney Lane and on that day they exchanged their vows in Fort Dodge. Debra’s life revolved around her family. She loved watching movies and listening to the oldies. Debra had a special place in her heart for her angels that she’s collected over the years. She enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and the sunset in the evenings. Debra loved the color lavender.

Debra’s life will be cherished forever by her husband, Rodney of Fort Dodge; 1 daughter, Lindsey Mortensen; 2 sons, Joshua Lane and Jordan Lane; mother, Karen and Larry Jaycox; 3 brothers, Derrick Stanberg and Fiancé Linda Bean, Chad Christensen and significant other Andrew Perreault and Keith Stanberg; 2 sisters, Denise Bruns and significant other Duane Hill, Tammie Thumma; Grandmother, Lillian Nekvinda; 1 Grandchild, Nicholaus Sampson; 1 niece and 3 nephews; 2 special great nephews; 2 special friends, Julie Shoopman and Julie Whipple.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, 2 grandfathers, 1 grandmother, a mother in law and a niece, Emily Lou.
