Deloris E. Dayton

Deloris E. Dayton, 90, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Marian Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Deloris was born May 4, 1921 the daughter of Ralph and Ida (Thomas) Musselman in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She was a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High.  Deloris was united in marriage to Delmar F. Dayton on December 25, 1942.

Deloris loved music.  She enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline's and in the church choir.  She spent hours working in the yard and tending to her gardens.  Deloris' heart was with taking care of her family.  She was very crafty and enjoyed making Teddy Bears as well as teaching others the craft.  Deloris was a member of the Rolling Hills Community Church.

Those thankful for having shared in Deloris' life include her daughter Denise Ropte and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dayton was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jim Ropte and three brothers; Don, Glen and Lloyd Musselman.
