Donald E. Bass

Donald Edward Bass, 60, of Fort Dodge, passed away November 28, 2003, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Bruce’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Allen Henderson. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Donald was born May 19, 1943, to Ernest and Marie (Smith) Bass in Holmer, Ia. On September 17, 1966, he was united in marriage to Martha Ely in Atlantic, IA. Throughout his life, Donald held various jobs in Fort Dodge.

He is survived by three sisters; Dorothy (Dwight) Wood of Walnut, IA, Kathryn (Ed) Driscoll, of Plattsmak, NE, and Helen (Tom) Gray of Atlantic, IA; Wife, Martha (Ely) Bass of Fort Dodge; two children, Terry and Amanda Bass both of Fort Dodge; four step-children, Susie (George) Jackson of Fort Dodge, Jerry (Martha) Fredericksen of Ackley, Bob Fredericksen of Fort Dodge, and Roseanne (Donny) Lowe of Story City; nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sister, Norma (Ed) Caron and Marge (Kenneth) Wood.
