Dorothy LaVonne Dehart

Dorothy LaVonne Dehart, 84, Fort Dodge, died on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2003, at Bruce's Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Roger Kurtenbach officiating. Burial will be held in the Dayton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30pm. Monday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born July 4, 1919, the daughter of Carl O. and Gertie (Carlson) Tell in Burnside, IA. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and was extremely proud of her two grandsons. She enjoyed taking Sunday afternoon drives, gardening, fishing and fried chicken on Sundays. Dorothy enjoyed playing her organ in which she later donated to the Deercreek Apartments.

Dorothy is survived by her son: Richard(Chris) Dehart; 2 grandchildren, Carter Bruce and Curtis Brian Dehart; Brother in law, Roy Heggen and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Carter, her parents, one sister Darlene, and long time companion, Ralph Trueblood.
