Earl H. Peterson, 77, of Pine River, MN, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Friday November 14, 2008 at the St. Josephs Medical Center, Park Rapids, MN.             Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Elrod of Calvary United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.             Earl was born June 20, 1931 the son of Harold O. and Veda A. (Ackerson) Peterson in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Following his education Earl went to work helping his father.  On February 16, 1951 Earl entered into the United States Army serving his during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged on June 14, 1955.             On September 29, 1956 Earl was united in marriage to Shirley Loehr in Fort Dodge.             Earl loved working with his hands especially carving wood and weaving baskets.  He was an avid fisherman.  Earl was a sports fanatic while watching one game on TV having one on the computer and his radio tuned to yet another.  Earl spent hours working and playing on his computer.             Those thankful for having shared in Earls life include his sister Sharil Gonder of Paton, IA, brother, Curtis Peterson of Pine River, MN, a sister in law; Wanda Loehr of Des Moines, IA and many nieces and nephews.             Earl was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Shirley, four brothers; Don, Maurice, John, Doug and a brother in law; Roger Loehr.
