Edward L. Kenne, 59, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday November 2, 2003, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at Bruce’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Edward was born September 21, 1944, the son of Donald and Lillian (Holm) Kenne in Bancroft, IA. His family moved to Fort Dodge during Ed’s childhood. He later graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Edward later began working for Iowa Beef; he then went to work as a route salesman for the Metz Bakery. He retired after 30 years of service to the bakery. On January 3, 2003 Edward was united in marriage to Jean Ann Truelsen in Indianola, IA.

Ed was a great outdoorsman, he loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed gathering with his friends to play cards or shoot a game of pool. Ed looked forward to the thriving activities and the constant action during his trips to the casino. Ed’s most cherished time was spent with his children and grandchildren.

Those thankful for having shared in Ed’s life include his wife, Jean, three children, Kelly W. (Nyla) Kenne of Indianola, Kristy (Shawn) Lewis of Des Moines, Tammy (Dave) Meyer of Halstead, MN, step daughter, Cindy Rose of Bellevue, NE, three sisters, Lillian (Ron) Bass of Fort Dodge, Karen (Jim) Porter of Fort Dodge, Betty (Don) Green of Boise, ID, three brothers, Donald (Artie) Kenne of Humboldt, Henry (Janice) Kenne of Manson, and Duane (Darla) Kenne of Detroit, Mich, 8 grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren.

Mr. Kenne was preceded in death by his parents.
