Fred C. Millis

Fred C. Millis, 86, of Lake City, IA, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at Accura HealthCare of Lake City. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lidderdale, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Fred was born February 22, 1939, in Farnhamville, IA, the son of George and Bertha (Green) Millis. He was the baby of the family. At home waiting for him was brother Bob and sisters Pearl, Flossie and Mary. Fred did odd jobs to make extra money. He loved going to the casino.

Fred is survived by his nieces and nephews: Tammy Green and husband Dan of Lake City, Larry Waters of Lake City, Tim Waters of Lake City, Deb Waters of Minnesota, as well as other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Bertha Millis; sisters: Pearl McCormick and husband Dick, Flossie Hoffman and husbands Elmer and Paul, and Mary Waters; brother-in-law: Jessie Waters; and nephews: Dale, Earl, Jim, Johnathan and Randy.
