Gladys L Naber

Memorial Services for Gladys Leona Naber 98 of Webster City will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with Rev. Bruce Klapp officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services.  Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Kamrar.  Gladys died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City.

Gladys Leona Naber was born July 18, 1915 near Jewell, Iowa to Swen and Inger (Omvig) Stout.  She was united in marriage to John Tempel on June 24, 1933 in Kamrar, Iowa and to this union seven children were born; Roger, Robert, Ronald, Gary, Delores, Judy, and Randy.  John died on June 27, 1968.  Gladys was united in marriage to William Naber on February 19, 1972.  William died on December 20, 1991.

Gladys was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City and its Charitt Circle and quilting circle.  She was also a member of the Triple L Club, Senior Citizens, RSVP and Neighborly Birthday Club.  Before retiring she worked for 25 years at Dunns and HyVee Grocery Stores.

She is survived by her children; Roger (Marjorie) Tempel of Yorba Linda, CA, Ronald (Deloris) Tempel of West Union, Delores (Paul) Kern of Webster City, Judy (Gary) Kessel of Dows, and Randy (Jackie) Tempel of Webster City, daughter-in-law, Pat Tempel of Webster City, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  Also survived by sister; Viola Read of Northwood, sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson  and brother-in-law, Elton Tempel and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John and William, sons; Robert in 1973 and Gary in 2005, grandson Jack Tempel, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
