Gladys T.  Stein 90 of Fort Dodge, formerly of Duncombe, Iowa died October 16, 2014 at the Fort Dodge Health and Rehab Center.  She requested that no services be held.

Gladys Theresa Stein was born September 3, 1924 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan to Fred and Josephine (DeLamorandiere) Payment.  She grew up in Sault St. Marie, Michigan and attended schools there.  She lived in several places thoughout her life time such as Pontiac, Michigan, Rhode Island and finally settling in Duncombe, Iowa.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and going to garage sales.

Gladys is survived by her children; Frank (Marilyn) Hurt of Webster City, Ed (Edna) Hurt of Gentry, AR, Linda Schutt of Duncombe, Vicky Ely of Moorland, Debi Fallis of Boone, Terry (Phil) Hoefer of Humboldt, Bill (Cindee) Hurt of Arizona, Jerry (Shelly) Stein of Greer, SC and Mike Stein of Austria, 32 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings; Ruth Hopper, Helen Finner, Chuck Payment and Patricia Snider.  Also survived by special aunt, Doris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin Stein in 2004, daughters Jean and Mary Lou, son Dick, and brothers; Bill and Jack and sisters; Pearl, Vicki, Betty and Hazel
