Grace E. Brown

Grace E. Brown, 92, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at The Marian Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2005 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Grindberg officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Grace was born January 20, 1913 the daughter of Alfred R. Peter and Serena (Larson) in Fort Dodge, IA.  Grace graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School with the class of 1932.  On October 11, 1936 Grace was united in marriage to Robert E. Brown in the Presbyterian Church Parsonage.

Grace was very craft oriented and enjoyed sewing, crocheting blankets, making dolls, and doing ceramics.  At the age of 80 years young Grace began to paint, many people commented on how nice of job she had done.  Grace always had time for her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Grace was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge.

Those thankful for having shared in Graces life include her children; Pat Lee of Hollywood, MD, Barb (Gene) Wertz of Fort Dodge, and Bill (Lisa) Brown of Fort Dodge, six grandchildren; Dawn (Bobby) Edwards, Derek (Kristine) Lee, Diane Lee, Cindy (Dennis) Obmann, Mark (Andrea) Wertz, and Andy (Heidi) Campbell and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, one daughter; Janice Brown, three sisters; Mildred, Helen, and Martha, and one brother; Ray.
