Hilda Marie Hanson

Hilda Marie Hanson, 84, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the St. Therese Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.

Hilda was born October 4, 1927 the daughter of Lars and Christiana (Orskog) Orness in Fulton Township, Webster County, Iowa. She graduated from Somers High School in 1945.

On July 19, 1946 Hilda was united in marriage to Glen Harold Hanson in Callender, Iowa. To this union five children were born.

Those thankful for having shared in Hildas life include her children, Darrell (Colleen) Hanson, Bruce Hanson, Cindy Hanson, one sister, Luella Mathias, one brother, Harold Orness and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, two daughters, Sylvia Marie Orness, Gleda Lee Hanson, four sisters, Amanda Carlson, Nellie Schmidt, Viola Heitkamp, Clara Hanson, two brothers, Chester and Olaf Orness.
