Jane F. Sorenson, 67, of Otho, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Jane was born January 22, 1942 the daughter of Walter and Ada Fern (Thompson) Hays in Otho, Iowa. On August 31, 1958 Jane was united in marriage to Gerald Sorenson.Jane was a great collector of awesome junk she loved going to the dollar stores, garage sales and anywhere else a treasure may be discovered. She had the ability to hunt and find mushrooms and asparagus in abundant amounts. Over the years Jane has enjoyed doing numerous craft projects including; woodworking, crocheting and plastic canvassing. She looked forward to spending time with all her grand babies and her good friends Shelly and Karen. Jane could watch English Comedies over and over laughing every time.Those thankful for having shared in Janes life include her children: Jean (Mike) Bryan of Kechi, KS, John (Kathy) Sorenson of Fort Dodge, IA, grandchildren: Kyle Sorenson and significant other Amber Jones, Heidi (Steve) Strain, Debra Sorenson and significant other Doug Owen, Cindy Bryan, Brianna Bryan, twelve great grandchildren and good friends: Shelly and Karen.Mrs. Sorenson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald, sister, Alice, brother, Paul, a son in law, Virgil Rogers and four nieces.
