Funeral Services for Jeane E. Jordison 90 of Fort Dodge will be Friday, July 26, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Community of Christ Church in Coalville. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge from 10:30 am until 12 Noon. Jeane Elizabeth Jordison died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.

Jeane Elizabeth Jordison was born April 12, 1923 in Bode, Iowa to Charles and Bess (Geronsin) Stewart. The family moved to Manson where they operated the hardware store. Jeane graduated from Manson High School in 1941. She worked as a secretary for Brady Moving and Storage for several years. Jeane was united in marriage to David Jordison on September 2, 1945. The couple farmed together north of Coalville and retired in 1986. Jeane was a 4-H leader for her daughters' 4-H club and a volunteer at the Trinity Regional Hospital Gift Shop for many years. She enjoyed going on camping trips to the mountains, doing crossword puzzles, and in her younger years she loved to square dance with her husband in the Buttons and Bows Dance Club. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several card clubs. What Jeane enjoyed most and still enjoyed, was cooking and making meals for all the workers during planting and harvest seasons. She was the happiest when she had all of her family together around her. She is survived by her daughter; Julie (Keith) Brown of Urbandale, son; Lance (Melanie) Jordison of Fort Dodge, son-in-law- Randal Weaver of Kalispell, Montana, eight grandchildren; Sara, Emily, Tammy, Lucas, Rachel, Tyler, Kelsey and Elisheba. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Walace, husband David, daughter Vicki Weaver and grandson Samuel Weaver.
