Jimmie L. Graves

Jimmie L. Graves, 77, of Manson, IA, and formerly of Fort Dodge, IA, died Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson. A private inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Manson at a later date. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

Jimmie was born January 8, 1949, in Fort Dodge, the son of Rollan Bud Graves and Rose Mary (McClain) Graves. He was one of 12 children. Jimmie graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. On April 16, 1974, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on March 15, 1992. Jimmie enjoyed fixing things, especially electronics and computers. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He also enjoyed visiting with people, going out to eat, casino trips, car rides, reading the newspaper daily, and being outdoors when the weather was nice.

Jimmie is survived by his Good Samaritan family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
