Joanna E. Sego

Joanna E. Sego, 86, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, May 14, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Joanna Edeene was born July 31, 1934, in Thor, IA, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Orsland) Moeding. She attended grade school in Thor and graduated from High School in Eagle Grove, IA. Joanna lived in Whittier, CA for 7 ½ years before returning to Fort Dodge in 1956. Over the years, Joanna worked at the Thor Cafe, Locker Plant, Globe Union and Free To Be Daycare Center. On July 12, 1982, she was united in marriage to John A. Sego in Fort Dodge. Joanna enjoyed spending time with her friends and family – especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed BINGO, gardening, fishing and being outdoors watching the birds & animals.

Joanna is survived by her daughter: Donita Rykhus of Fort Dodge; 3 grandchildren: Roy Nielsen, Missy Mueller and Kevin Henderson – all of Fort Dodge; and 6 great grandchildren: John, Tyler, Hannah, Xavier, Julyan and Dakoda. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1990; son: Kevin Cram; grandson: Danny Nielsen; and her twin brother: John Eugene Moeding.
