John R. Fox

John Robert Fox, 79, of Fort Dodge, passed away Wednesday November 19, 2008 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday November 24, 2008 at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, North Lawn Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Phil Somsen.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

John was born August 17, 1929 in Gilmore City, IA the son of Lawrence and Bertie (Cupp) Fox.

John was employed with the Fort Dodge Community Schools retiring for the first time after 22 years. He then went to work driving bus for Dart and after 14 years of service retired in 2005.

John enjoyed taking rides in his truck and having coffee with his two closest friends John and Dave.

John is survived by his longtime companion; Linda J. Rojohn, her children; Danette (David) Linder, Kristin (Zack) Sabus, her grandchildren; Kelsey and Kody Linder, Matthew, Madelyn, Addison and Christian Sabus. He is also survived by his children; Jeff (Donna) Fox, Vicki (Jeff) Dye, Becky McMahon, David (Connie) Fox, grandchildren; John and Joel Fox, Amy and Joshua Dye, Tara and Michael McMahon, Amanda and Jared Fox, sisters; Dolly Nelson, June Bowman, Dena Evans, Nora Mowery, brothers; James and Glenn Fox, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Pauline Hendrickson, Lula Evans, Betty Leonard, brothers; Edmund Fox, Omar (Ray) Fox and a grandson; Jeffery Fox.
