Kamma N. Jorgensen

Kamma N. (Reeck) Jorgensen, 79, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, May 8, 2020, at Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kamma was born on October 24, 1940, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Schucuff) Reeck. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1959. On May 13, 1961, she was united in marriage to James Jorgensen at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge. Kamma was a homemaker who liked working alongside her husband. She also worked at Dairy Plus and the Bird Store. Kamma enjoyed taking care of her husband, traveling with him in their camper, bird watching, reading, and being outside especially in her flower garden.

Kamma is survived by her husband of almost 59 years: James Jorgensen of Fort Dodge; 3 children: Bobette McClintock and husband Mike of Badger, IA, Julie Walker and husband Sean of Stanley, IA, and James “JD” Jorgensen and wife Christina of Fort Dodge; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 4 siblings: Trudy Koppen and husband Ron of Fort Dodge, Ethelyn Tuel and husband Ken of Fort Dodge, Martin Reeck and wife Pam of Fort Dodge, and Larry Reeck and wife Carolyn of Bend, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter: Marie Petersen.
