Karen was born on July 22, 1942, in Coalville, IA, the daughter of Orville and Flossey (Butrick) Pritchard.  She attended Fort Dodge Schools.  In 1957, she married Rodney Clark and to this union six children were born:  Randy, Craig, Jaqueline, Colleen, Trevor and Angela.  The couple later divorced.  On September 20, 1985, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald Brooks, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.  Karen was a devoted homemaker who also dedicated her time working at various nursing homes.  She found joy in working with the elderly.  She cherished moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed rummage & estate sales, flowers, bird watching, and playing cards with her neighbors at Northridge Apartments.  Karen's affection for her cats was evident to all who knew her, particularly her beloved "Cuddles."  Karen was a member of the Church of Christ.

Karen is survived by her six children: Randy Clark and wife Julie of Port Aransas, TX; Craig Clark and wife Karen of Fort Dodge; Jaqueline Clark of Duncombe, IA; Colleen Clark of Colorado/Michigan; Trevor Clark and wife Jody of Duncombe; and Angela Crotts of New Braunfels, TX; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Thomas Pritchard and wife Judy of Callender, IA, and Marion Pritchard and wife Tin Tin of California.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Orville and Flossey Pritchard; her husband:  Ronald Brooks in 2006; and seven siblings:  Joan, David, LeRoy, Gerald, Carmon, Misty, and Wanda.

May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was cherished beyond measure during her time on this earth.
