Kristy Lou Drees Kopp

Kristy Lou Drees Kopp was born August 6, 1953 in Carroll, Iowa to Rudy and Leona (Golwitzer) Drees. She grew up in the Carroll area and graduated from Carroll Public Schools in 1971. Kristy continued her education at La James Beauty School in Fort Dodge and graduated in 1973. She worked at various beauty salons in Fort Dodge her entire career. On May 14, 1977, she was united in marriage to Dee Kopp. The couple lived in Fort Dodge. Kristy enjoyed horseback riding, dirt track races at Webster City, cats, shopping, feeding birds and spending time in her back yard. She was a member of ASPC and Almost Home Humane Society in Fort Dodge.

On January 22, 2018 Kristy died at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa at the age of 64 years.

She is survived by her husband Dee of Fort Dodge, brothers and sisters; Randy (Joan) Drees of Carroll, Kathy (Danny) Brock of Spencer, TN, Larry (Sheryl) Drees of Adair, Kenny (Laurie) Drees of Vail, IA and Karla (James) Billmeier of Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents.
