Larry Edward Krimmel, 62, of Fort Dodge, IA, passed away on January 23, 2024. He was a hardworking man who selflessly raised five children on his own. Larry always prioritized others before himself, offering a place to stay or a ride whenever someone needed it. He would even give his last few dollars just to help someone out. Larry's kind and generous nature endeared him to all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his sisters and brothers: Nita Rutan of Des Moines, IA, Viola Danner of Omaha, NE, Terry Polsley of Omaha, NE, Joe Krimmel of Deming, NM, Vern Krimmel of NE, Jack (Mary) Krimmel of Omaha, NE, and Frank Krimmel of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his children: Larry David (Katie) Alvarez of Austin, MN, Larry Wertz, Cindy Krimmel, Rebecca Krimmel, and Micheal Krimmel of Ford Dodge, IA. Larry leaves behind eight grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry has now gained his angel wings, reuniting with his mother, Ruth May Krimmel, and father, Victor J. Krimmel Sr. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Victor Krimmel Jr. and Tyrone Krimmel, and sisters, Colleen Holland and Franky Luth. Larry was also preceded in death by his brother-in-laws, Mike Danner and Bobby Polsley.
Larry enjoyed watching Westerns and old-time classic movies. He cherished spending time with his friends and family, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Larry also had a passion for collecting little bear figures.
At this time, there will be no services held for Larry. In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Larry's honor.
