LaVerna A. Taylor

LaVerna A. Taylor, 75, of Fort Dodge, died November 21, 2004 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Sister Gertrude Keefe officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Interment will be in St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery.

LaVerna was born in Norwood, MN. on October 15, 1929 to Elmer (Willhemia Schwiltz) Anderson.

LaVerna was united in marriage to Ray Taylor on January 3, 1954. LaVerna loved working out in the garden tending to her vegetables, grapevines and flowers. LaVerna had a tender heart for her cats. She loved bringing the family together over a good meal and sharing laughter and love that filled her house often. LaVerna devoted her life to her husband and family, watching her nieces and nephews was always a highlight of her day. LaVerna was a shopper and enjoyed buying cloths and sewing her own cloths, making many garments for herself and her sister. She enjoyed long drives across the countryside. Her contagious laughter would fill a room and her beautiful blue eyes sparkled with life. LaVerna was a giver, she shared her heart, her smile, her talents and her time to those that needed it.

LaVerna’s memories will be cherished by her husband, Roy; 4 siblings, Maynard Anderson, Arvada Thompson, Curtiss Anderson and Ruth Schoenfisch and many nieces and nephews.

LaVerna was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ardelle Anderson.
