Lillian Marie Totten, 93, of Fort Dodge, died Friday December 10, 2010 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care.

         

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 16, 2010 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m.

         

Lillian was born January 8, 1917 the daughter of James and Blanche (Decker) Roush in Percy, Iowa.  She was united in marriage to Elmer Totten, Sr. in 1944 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

         

Lillian worked twenty plus years at the Trinity Regional Medical Center helping in the kitchen.

         

Lillian loved children spending many years teaching primary Sunday School and babysitting.  She was known as Grandma to many and looked forward to her visits with family and friends.  After moving to the Villa Care she got involved in numerous activities making many friends and memories.  She truly enjoyed living at the Fort Dodge Villa Care.  Lillian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

         

Those thankful for having shared in Lillians life include her children, Gail (Bill) Scott of Fort Dodge, Elmer (Bev) Totten, Jr. of Fort Dodge, Pam Summers of Glendale, AZ, Candy Popp of Lake City, IA, two sisters, Veronica (Weaver) Porter of Peru, IA, Janet Roush of Omaha, NE, eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

         

Mrs. Totten was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Lillian Farlow, one son, Dale Totten, one sister, Helen Houseman, three brothers, James Roush, Jr., Donald Buck Roush and Wayne Roush.
