Lois Mae Harvey

Funeral Services for Lois M. Harvey 90 of Fort Dodge will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge with Blake Harvey officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Lois Mae Harvey was born February 10, 1927, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Charles and Pearl (Mericle) Jones. She grew up in the Fort Dodge area and graduated from Fort Dodge High School. On February 16, 1953, Lois married William “Vernon” Harvey in Dearborn, Michigan. The couple moved back to Fort Dodge and Lois worked at JC Penny for over 30 years. For the past 18 years, Lois has been a part of the Foster Grandparent Program at St. Edmond's School. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and she took pleasure in going out to eat with her friends. Lois was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Trinity United Methodist Church.

On November 17, 2017 Lois died at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. She is survived by her children; Candi (Lee) Juelfs of Hastings, MN and Nick (Teri) Harvey of Fort Dodge; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children; Sandy and Chuck and 11 siblings.
