Lori Lee Greenfield Petrie, a woman of faith and of grace, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 9, 2011.A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsburg, Iowa.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell, Iowa.  Visitation will be held Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to service time Saturday.Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.Lori, born on February 6, 1960, was the daughter of Arland and Jeri Greenfield of Jewell, Iowa.  After graduating from South Hamilton High School in 1977, Lori attended Crown College in Minnesota.  It was while she was there that she met her husband, Mark Petrie.  They were married on July 17, 1982, at the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg, Iowa.  Mark and Lori began their life together in Indianapolis where their daughter Emily was born in 1983.  They moved back to Iowa where their daughter, JoAnna, was born in 1985.  Mark and Lori then moved their family to Texas where their daughter, Jodi, was born in 1987 and their son, Geoffrey, was born in 1988.  They moved back to Jewell in August of 1988 and have been active members of the community ever since.Loris professional life was spent making a difference in the lives of children.  She worked at the Ames Christian Preschool, Little Flock Daycare, spent a year as a nanny, and most recently was a special education associate and individual speech coach in the South Hamilton Community School District.  The number of lives Lori touched is immeasurable. Her spirit will live on in so many ways.Lori was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg.  She and Mark served as high school youth group leaders, and Lori worked with the junior high youth group and in the AWANA program.  She was also a member of PEO Chapter GP. Loris greatest joy was her family.  She is survived by her husband, Mark; her daughters: Emily Dodge (Peter) of Toccoa, Georgia; JoAnna of Ames, Iowa; and Jodi of Ames, Iowa; and son, Geoffrey (Meghan) of Minnesota; her darling grandchildren: Forrest, Sarah Ann, and Joy Anna; her parents, Arland and Jeri Greenfield of Jewell, Iowa; her sister, Becky Folkestad (Chuck) of Minnesota; brother, Tim (Janice) of Mexico; and father-in-law, David Petrie of Indiana.   She will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins who also survive her.  Lori was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ann Petrie; her grandparents, Arend and Gertie Greenfield and Edward and Velma Arends; and her uncle, Laverne Greenfield.“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Proverbs 31:28
