Lucile L. Blunk

Lucile L. Blunk, 95, of Mendota, IL, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Peters officiating.  Interment will be at 3 p.m. in the Oak View Cemetery, Albia, IA.  Visitation will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lucile was born March 20, 1912 the daughter of Matthew and Oca (Burdan) Manley in Albia, IA.  She graduated from Albia High School in the class of 1929.  She was united in marriage to Roy Blunk in Moorland, IA and to this union two sons were born.

Lucile loved to read, work with her flowers and visit with her friends and family.   Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she was always interested in there activities.

Those thankful for having shared in Luciles life include her children; John (Sharon) Blunk of Stratford, IA, Rex (Kris) Blunk of Mendota, IL, four grandchildren; Shawn, Shannon, Matt, Angie, eleven great grandchildren, one niece Marsha Crowel of Adel, IA and nephew Jack Stanton of Dewey, AZ.

Mrs. Lucile Blunk was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, two brothers and four sisters.
