Mabel B. Horn

October 8, 1919 — September 23, 2020

Mabel B. Horn, age 100, was peacefully called to her heavenly home on September 23, 2020 at Westbridge Assisted Living in Wheaton, IL. Born October 8, 1919 to August and Elenore Schultze she was raised in rural Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High and later married Walter J. Horn in 1941. She was a homemaker whose generous spirit made an impact on many lives.

Mabel was involved in her church, St Paul Lutheran, and was an active volunteer for Trinity Lutheran Hospital. She valued her PEO friendships, loved playing bridge, enjoyed golf and had many fond memories of world wide travels.

She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Galloway of Wheaton, IL and Cynthia (Mike) Duggan of Sarasota, Fl. Loved by her grandchildren Matthew (Jenna) Duggan, Jeremy (Maureen) Galloway, and Kara Duggan Bailys. Adored GG to six great grandchildren- Charlie, Kasey, Makenzie, Gray, Sutton and Kendall.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at St. Paul Lutheran Church (Chapel), 400 South 13th Street - Fort Dodge, with Rev. Kendall Meyer officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Lutheran World Relief, PO Box 17061, Baltimore, MD 21297 or the Salvation Army, 615 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, Virginia 22314.

She had a life well lived; a life well blessed.
