Madge M. Hathaway, 83, of Rockwell City, died, March 15th, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.             Memorial services will be held at the Sunny View Retirement Village, Rockwell City, at 10:30 Thursday March 19, 2009 with Pastor Marcia F. Sangel officiating.             Madge was born November 25th, 1925 the daughter of Arnold and Katherine (Nutter) Koeppen on the family farm in Jolley, Iowa.  Madge attended the Jolley  High School.  She was a nurses aid and housewife.  On June 23, 1975 Madge was united in marriage to Millard Hathaway.             Madge enjoyed antique collecting, canning food, making jelly, watching the Chicago Cubs and helping friends.  Madge enjoyed spending time reading, make dolls and clothing for the underprivileged.  Those thankful for having shared in Madges life include her children, Vern (Midge) Hathaway of Remsen, Iowa, Bob (Janice) Hathaway of Nevada, Iowa, and Bill (Claudette) Woller of Panora, Iowa, Sister Doris Georg of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Brother Neil (Loretta) Koeppen of Rockwell City, Iowa, Nine Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Madge was preceded in death by her husband Millard, three sisters, Blaine Cronk, Phyllis Nelson and Kathrine Rastetter.
