Maggie Lee Norman, age 84, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday December 28, 2023 at Aspire Care Center in Gowrie. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday January 5th at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, with burial at the North Lawn Cemetery. Services will be livestream via: https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/maggie-lee-norman. Visitation will be 4 – 7 pm Thursday at Historic Bruce Funeral Home.
Maggie Lee Norman, the daughter of Lee and Maggie (Neville) Williams, was born on May 15, 1939 in Scooba, Mississippi. She attended and graduated from Scooba High School. On October 28, 1967 Maggie was united in marriage with David Grant Norman I in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Maggie had worked at Fort Dodge Motors, Doghouse Restaurant and Hotels doing housekeeping. She also was a machine operator at Globe Union.
Maggie was a member of Second Baptist Church in Fort Dodge since 1962. She enjoyed dancing, hanging out with friends and attending her church. Maggie was the life of the party, she was friendly but outspoken. She was full of love and cherished her friends and family
Left to cherish Maggie Lee’s memory is her step daughter, Genevia Norman of Berkley, MO; a sister, Jane Poe of Fort Dodge; a brother, Willie Williams of Scooba, MS; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Estella Fuller, Lydia Williams, Adell Williams and Mary Brown; brothers, Lee, Otis and Edkar Williams; and a step son, David H. Norman II.
