Margaret V. Lawson

Margaret “Maggie” V. Lawson, 80, of Fort Dodge, died Friday December 26, 2003, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Bruce’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Harry Imlay officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Margaret was born May 20, 1923, the daughter of Frank and viola (Amsden) Sauer in Callender, IA. Margaret attended and later graduated from the Rockwell City High School.

On May 28, 1945 Margaret was united in marriage to Roger Lawson in Kansas City, KS. This union was blessed with two children.

Margaret loved working in her yard, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Those thankful for having shared in Margaret’s life include her daughter, Darla Laird of Fort Dodge, two grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Laird of Fort Dodge, and Krista (Tim) Briggs of Fort Dodge. Maggie was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Akeem, Dragon, and Hunter.

Mrs. Laird was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, one son, Darrold, and an infant brother Frank Jr.
