Mark Wayne Ferry, 59, of Eagle Grove, IA, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026, surrounded by family at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Mark was born June 25, 1966, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, the son of Mitchell J. and Patricia (Lindner) Ferry. He attended school at Clarksville High in Tennessee. He was united in marriage for 22 years to Carolyn (Charlson) Ferry. Together they had their 6 children, Nick, Mason, Stephanie, Jordan, Brooklynn, and Kaitlynn. The couple later divorced. Over the years, Mark always worked hard whether it was mechanical or construction. He’d always be willing to come by and help out. Mark enjoyed rocking out to his favorite bands Billy Squier, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special and KISS. He loved his time spent with his children and grandchildren. Mark was a Tennessee Volunteer through and through. If he didn’t have a Pepsi in his hand, you know it’d be a Bud Light. Living up to his self-given Native American name “Runs with Beer”. Mark could fill any room with laughter with his jokester personality bringing joy everywhere he went.
Mark is survived by his six children, Nick (Shauna) Ferry, Stephanie (Jared) Remiger, Mason Ferry, Jordan (Elizabeth) Ferry, Brooklynn Ferry, and Kaitlynn Ferry. His memory will be cherished by his thirteen grandchildren, Keaon, Anikah, Camden, Braxton, Hayden, Ephraim, Neyland, Isla, Lorenzo, Millie, Landry, Autumn, and Ocie. Mark is also survived by his siblings Tim Ferry, Debbie Ferry, Tim (Raygenia) Lawler, Shawn (Starla) Lawler, Shelly Black, and Terry (Michelle) Lawler along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Mitchell and Patricia and his two brothers Jeffrey and Paul Ferry.
Mark will never be forgotten. In his own words, “It’s not goodbye, it’s later or see ya.”
