Mildred F. Fiderlick, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 2, 2004 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Raether. Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mildred was born February 26, 1920 the daughter of Clarence and Esther (Benson) Prendergast in Fort Dodge, IA. She graduated from the Moorland High School with the class of 1938. Mildred was baptized and confirmed at the Swedish Lutheran Church.

On October 19, 1941 Mildred was united in marriage to Leon Fiderlick they farmed outside of Callender were they raised there three children, Sharon Joyce, James Francis, and Patricia Kay. She later went to work for Globe Union. In 1988 Mildred moved to Fort Dodge and has resided at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center since 1998.

Mildred was a member of the DAR and the American Legion Auxiliary and a former 4-H leader. Mildred loved to work in her garden, sew, and do needle work. She enjoyed collecting stamps and spending time with her family.

Mildred is survived by her son James (Rebecca) Fiderlick of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter, Patricia (Robert) Behnkendorf of Algona, son in law, Donald Colby of Fort Dodge, one brother, Francis Fiderlick of Callender, seven grandchildren, Jeff, Scott, and Stacey Colby, Shannon Williams, Alan and Curtis Behnkendorf, and Ryan Fiderlick, and twelve great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fiderlick was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sharon, one granddaughter, and two nephews.
