Naomi Hutchinson 76 of Hardy, died January 12, 2013 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-7 and continue on Thursday, one hour prior to service. Private family interment will take place this spring at Vernon Township Cemetery.

Naomi was born August 18, 1936 in Algona, to John and Faye (Humphrey) Strayer She grew up in Algona and graduated from Algona High School. Naomi was united in marriage to Gordon W. Hutchinson on March 12, 1958 in Minnesota. The family lived in several north central Iowa towns before settling in Otho, where they raised their seven children. In her retirement years she lived in Hardy. Naomi enjoyed babysitting, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included, being a 4-H leader, gardening and canning, flowers, and she loved to cook. Naomi liked to crochet, go shopping and go for rides. She enjoyed animals, cats, dogs, fish, rabbits and birds. She is survived by her children; Kelly Miles, Eileen (Terry) Olson, Carl (Darla) Hutchinson, Richard Hutchinson, Gary Hutchinson, Jimmy Hutchinson, Cindy Bartlett-Waddell, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, John and Nathan and 3 sisters: Denise, Doris and Janice.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, 3 sisters: Bonnie, Nancy & Mary, son in law, Dave Miles, niece Terri, and grandson Jacob Fort Dodge Area Funeral and Cremation Service, Bruce Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. www.brucesfuneralhome.com
