Funeral Services for Neva L. King age 97 of Corydon, Iowa, formerly of Fort Dodge, are Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be Saturday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Neva Lucille King was born April 13, 1915 in Rippey, Iowa to Edward M. and Margaret I. (Miller) Morris. She grew up in Rippey and attended schools there. Neva was united in marriage to Clifford J. Loehr in October of 1931 in Jefferson, Iowa. To this union five children were born, Clifford, Bobby, LaDonna, David and Kenneth. The family farmed near Somers, Iowa. Neva married Willis V. King and they lived in Fort Dodge. Neva was ordained at Trinity House of Prayer in 1986. She was very involved in her church where she played organ and enjoyed her 66 years of preaching and teaching. She was also very proud that she was able to marry two of her grandchildren and one great grandchild. Neva liked crocheting and making things for her grandchildren.

In 1998, she suffered a stroke and moved to Corydon to live with her daughter LaDonna. A few years later she entered independent living. Neva attended the Corydon United Christian Church of the Disciples. The past two and half years she has been a resident at the Corydon Nursing Home where she passed away on February 5, 2013 with her daughter LaDonna and her granddaughter Alisha from Eunice, LA by her side.

Neva is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Pat Loehr of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, and daughter LaDonna Loehr-Rugg of Corydon, Iowa. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
