Nicholas David Burton Lantz was born March 22, 1991, in Topeka, KS, the son of Rae’Schl (Tim) Dabney and Dana B. (Daisy) Lantz.  Nick graduated from Prairie Valley High School in 2010. He was passionate about playing football and enjoyed playing in back to back years of Dome playoff games.  Nick attended NIAAC Community College and was a PTA for Humboldt Hospital.  On October 15, 2022, he was united in marriage to Jessica M. Martin in Lake Dillon, CO.

Nick was an incredible husband, daddy, son, brother, friend, coworker and human. His eyes and his smile lit up a room as soon as he walked in. Nick loved to sing and dance. He always joked if his voice was any good he would be rich, and he was right. Nick loved his babies, Graycen, Easton, Milan and Noa. Each one meant more to him than he could ever express. Every milestone was celebrated and stress was pushed away with impromptu dance nights with the whole family. He was most happy when dancing with his babies and with his Jessi. Nick was an incredible physical therapist assistant. His patients and his colleagues loved him. He cared so much for his work family and his patients and went above and beyond for them all. Nick loved the mountains. He visited Colorado and he immediately found what felt like home. Life was slower and more peaceful there. He planned to go at least once a year with Jessi until they could buy a place of their own once the kids were grown. Nick was the absolute best daddy. He gave the best hugs and kisses and tickles and he always made sure they knew they were loved unconditionally. Nick loved his wife so much. He has a smile and a look meant just for her that made everything in that moment seem okay. Nick had the biggest heart and will be remembered for his generosity, love, kindness, humor, competitiveness, and beautiful smile with those bright green eyes!

He leaves behind his wife:  Jessi Lantz of Fort Dodge; 4 children:  Graycen, Easton, Milan and Noa;  parents: Dana & Daisy Lantz (Fort Dodge), Rae'Schl & Tim Dabney (Monroe City, MO); sister: Samantha Lantz/Austin Mudd (Monroe City, MO); brother: Jake Lantz (Fort Dodge); 2 step brothers: Alexander Martin/Annie Dovali (Omaha, NE), Wyatt Dabney (Hannibal,  MO); 2 step sisters:  Allyson Dabney (Hannibal, MO), Marianne Martin/Christopher Garrison (Minneapolis MN); grandmother: Pam and Wayne Lucas (Lake City, FL); 6 nephews; and many aunts, uncles & cousins.
