In Loving Memory of Patty (Patricia) Patterson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and family member, Patty (Patricia) Patterson. Cherished by all who knew her, Patty was known for her kindness, warmth, and passionate spirit, which touched the lives of many throughout the years. She found great joy in her cats, horseback riding, exploring a variety of crafts, and attending car shows with her husband, Rich Patterson and close friends.
Born and raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Patty was the daughter of Clyde L. Palmer and Dorothy F. (Frahm) Palmer. She was deeply committed to her family and friends, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her unwavering support, wisdom, and compassion were evident in every interaction, reminding all the power of love and generosity.
Patty's life was marked by love and grace, always encouraging those around her to live fully and with purpose. Through acts of encouragement and simple moments shared, her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was preceded in death by husband Rich Patterson, her daughter, Jerri Brown, her parents, Clyde and Dorothy; her siblings, Michael Palmer, Toni (Carol) Dickerson, and Susan Anderson; and granddaughter Tera Altman.
Patty leaves behind a devoted family, countless friends, and a community grateful for the time spent together. Her memory will be cherished and honored for generations to come. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Barbara Krug (Bob), Terri Kurtz, and Holli Berg (Brian); son-in-law: Dick Brown; her siblings, Richard Palmer (Pearl) and Ann L. Jordison; eight grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1436 21st Avenue North – Fort Dodge, with Pastor Nicholas Thackery officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to them, as they will donate to a charity close to Patty's heart - continuing her legacy of kindness and giving. Rest in peace, Patty. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
