Richard B. Ziegler

Richard B. Ziegler, 83, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday April23, 2011 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center.

Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2011 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Peters officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Richard was born October 6, 1927 the son of Claus and Tringy (Dornath) Ziegler in Gilmore City, Iowa.  He married Beverly Stafford in 1947 and to this union 11 children were born.

Richard was an outdoor enthusiast enjoying everything nature had to offer.  He looked forward to going camping and boating.  He worked as a caretaker for several years at the North Lawn Cemetery. 

Those thankful for having shared in Richards life include his children, Chris Hatley, Sue Sheldon, Kathy Smith, Richard, Jack, Billie, James, Danny, Edward Ziegler, one sister, Marie Kober, 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Mr. Ziegler was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beverly, and two sons, Jeff and Curtis Ziegler.
