Robert Walters Jr.

Robert Walters Jr., 56, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, February 1, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center.  Services will be held Saturday February 10th at 2pm at First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Dodge.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Robert was born June 22, 1967, in Fort Dodge, the son of Carol (Parks) and Robert Walters Sr.  He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1986.  He worked at Yacht Club Trailers in Humboldt for 30+ years.  Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed working on cars, sending random text messages to his family, DJing and racing cars in his younger years. Bobby was a jokester who will be remembered for his silliness.

Bobby is survived by his daughter:  Lilly Walters of Fort Dodge; his fiancée:  Jenny Derrig of Fort Dodge; 3 step-children:  Jaden Derrig, Sydney Derrig and Janelle Derrig – all of Fort Dodge; his father:  Robert Walters Sr. of Fort Dodge; 3 siblings:  Shelly Evans and husband Sean of Fort Dodge, Melinda Stewart and husband Sean of Dayton, IA, and Jason Walters and wife Dawn of Fort Dodge.  He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother:  Carol Walters; Father In Law Edward Derrig Sr. and his aunts and uncles: Mary Anges Beck, Marjie Irwin and husband Bob, Shirley McLuckie, Dorothy Kaplan, Florence Jaeschke, Thomas Parks, Pauline (Parks) Swanson, James Joseph Parks, Gary Walters and wife Kathryn, Wally Walters and wife Pam and Gladys Trask and husband Gary.
