Roger Dean Henson, 73, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Accura HealthCare of Pomeroy. No services will be scheduled. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Roger was born January 20, 1953, in Estherville, IA, the son of Floyd and Mary Ellen (McChesney) Henson. He was a longtime resident of Ashville, NC and worked for a Realty Company (maintenance/landscaping). After his retirement in 2022, he moved back to Iowa. Roger loved being outdoors – no matter what the weather was.
Roger is survived by 2 siblings: Dennis Henson of Arvada, CO and Mary Lou Clearwater (Vic) of Rockwell City, IA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.
