Ruth B. Joslin 95, of Fort Dodge went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday January 26, 2015 at the Fort Dodge Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be Friday January 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at Historic Bruce Funeral Home with Pastor David Barton officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday and continue on Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Ruth Beatrice Burkholder was born October 18, 1919 in Denver, Colorado to LeRoy and Anna( Pitlz) Burkholder. Ruth was united in marriage in 1934 to Earl Joslin. They raised their family in the Fort Dodge area. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed playing cards and making jewelry. She was a member of Rolling Hills Community Church.
Ruth is survived by her daughters: Beverly Zahrobsky of Chariton, Nancy (Wilbert) Messerly of Fort Dodge; daughter-in-law Faye Joslin of Faribault, MN and son-in-law John Zbiegien of Rio Rancho, NM, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, sons, Robert and Earl Jr., daughters, Betty Joslin and Judith Zbiegien, grandson Wilbert Messerly Jr. and 2 infant grandsons. Also preceded in death by her sisters; Gladys Burkholder, Anna Joslin, Martha Echelberger, Lydia Hendrickson and brother Charles Burkholder. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
